In 1990 Denmark was the first country outside the US to host the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) in Copenhagen. After 32 years, ICIS returned to Copenhagen, making it the first city to host the conference twice.
For the opening of the ICIS 2022, the conferences were honoured to have Executive Vice-President Margrethe Vestager as the keynote speaker and recipient of the AIS Leadership Excellence Award 2022.
In her speech, Vestager talked about the importance of digital transformation in Europe and equipping people with the knowledge and skills to use digital technologies.
